Honest, Unless all of your files are on a network server, then the only really secure way is to get some sort of key switch to turn the computer on. THe user setup in WIndows and the password files are pretty easy to get to.
Hi Zack,
I always think the simplest is to go into the BIOS and set the System password. This will not allow the PC to power-up after switch on until the password is entered. Although not absolutely secure, it is safe enough for most and requires just about zero effort!

Of course then you can go download KillCMOS and wipe the password protection.
The BIos password is probably the best, as most people don't really know anything about it, whereas using the windows setup is pretty easy to defeat. The safest thing is to get a keyed switch that opens the power circuit to the power switch and lock the access panels of the case. Computers used to have these.
And Fred did you see this link I found and posted, It has a bunch of bench marking and testing freeware, along with, of course KillCMOS.

Jus t go down to radio shack and get a key switch like At the link below under Switches > Keyed
http://www.meci.com/
And then install the switch like this.
Hi MW, thats a nice little site there...lots of interesting stuff!
:D
Hi Zack,
Your only real option now is to go for "physical security" in the form of switches and stuff. As MW says, Windblows security is just far too easy to defeat.
