I am trying to install a Creative Labs Modem Di5655-00. The card is in, PNP found it upon boot up and wants drivers. I put the Modem Blaster PCI Flash 56 v.90 CD in the drawer and am promptly presented with all this commercial crap:

Audio Highway
Net.Heat
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0
Communicate!Lite
Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0
Creative Medial Ring Talk
Mindspring ISP

I only want the drivers but there is absolutely no hint of where to get them.

Does anyone have any idea as to what I must pick (and no more) to make the modem function?

I'd greatly appreciate any help.

TIA,

Mikel

Hi mkstein2,
Try putting in the CD. Cancel the setup if it runs automatically. Go to start, run Browse Click on the cd rom drive see if there are folders there for the drivers.

I agree. I'd cancel setup and do it manually. On most of the ones I've seen, the README file on the cd (or the install instructions) will tell you where to point the driver install procedure to start looking, like E:\Drivers\Win9x\ etc...
