I recently had a new hard drive installed. of course this entailed re-installation of windows 98. Now when I tried to re-install my Pc camera the installation wizard asked for driver . I inserted my windows 98 disc and no luck still says can't find. tried to download from internet at microsoft and Intel (type of Camera). sent a message to Microsoft tech support no answer. The files which the wizard asks for are KSdata.ax etc.I have a scanner installed on USB and it works fine from either port.I'm sure there is a conflict somewhere but am in the dark as to how to find. Or if I did find out where I'm not sure if I could clear.

Hi hmeyers1,
Do you have the software for the camera? The drivers should be on that.

Could you give us the model of you pc cam? We could then try to locate one for you.

For Bailey : I have tried to RE-install this Camera both ways. I have Un-installed software and tried to load software with and without Camera connected.I have used the install Wizard. Everything I do comes up the same DRIVER NOT FOUND. Very Frustrating. The easy stuff is far behind , I need to know the driver Name and address and how to get Windows to recognise it.

Check you personal email as I have responded.

I am assuming that the driver on your CD has already been updated on the Intel website. I will try to track it down for you and suggest that you try that. Maybe you could give us the version number of the software or CD drivers to make sure we do not point you to the same one. HTH

I guess I need to expand this problem to include some additional info. the new Hard Drive was partitioned into 3 - 13.3 gig , I am trying to install Pc camera on separate as I want to do some video things that take up a lot of memory. could this be part of problem? maybe I'll uninstall and just try to put on C . The further I go the worst things seem.

JUst tried a fresh install on different drive , still no luck still asking for drivers from windows 98 disc. following is a list in order that Install wizard asks for them. Is there any suggestion or does anyone know of any conflict problems. Devise Manager in control panel system still says camera has no drivers.

Ks.cat Ksxbar.ax
Kscaptur.cat Ksuser.dll
ksclockf.ax Vfwwdm32.dll
Ksdata.ax Vfwwdm.drv
Ksinterf.ax Ks.sys
Ksproxy.ax Stream.sys
Kstvtune.ax Usbcamd.sys
Ksvpintf.ax
Kswdmcap.ax

Also now computer wants to hang up on startup with a small screen that says windows is updating system info.

I have found that on occasion I have received that message .If you click on browse and go through the cd and find the driver (file path) it will work.
