Outlook Express is Double Dialing.

Have Windows ME OS and I believe Outlook Express 5.0.
When I click (actually double-click) on the Outlook Expess icon on the desktop, it brings up two connection boxes to my ISP. This is annoying because I have to clear one of them every time. It does connect though. Just the two connecion boxes. Noot sure if it is dialing up twice, don't think so. How can I get Outlook Express to only bring uup ONE connection box? Thanks in advance.

Well, just a thought. Do you have windows set to open programs when you single click on them? If so then double clicking will open it twice.

No, the computer is set to activate programs with a double click.

Go to CONTROL PANEL>DIAL UP NETWORKING and delete any unneeded connectoids. If you only have one ISP then there should be no need of more than one. You can also try deleting all of the connectoids and recreate one, but be sure to name it something that you have not used before so that it does not pull previous settings from the registry.
