Norton Antivirus Files

Acidentally deleted files for Norton Antivirus.At start up getting a message to reinstall files or remove.Have tried Regit and System.Ini.Cannot find files.Tried to remove thru Add/Remove Programs,but won't remove.At start up getting message about files being deleted. Also getting C:/Progra"\Norton"\NAVAP.VXD.How do I remove all and reinstall?

Can you just reinstall Norton Antivirus from disk. That should put all the files back in and then you can remove from Add/Remove programs if you still want to do that.

Downloaded it from internet,no disk.NJ

Simply go to http://www.symantecstore.com/ from the left select customer service; enter your email address and the requisite digits; you should either be able to redownload your originally purchased software. If it doesn't allow you to do it; you could call up customer service and inform them about your issue with your reg# and other details.

You can also download Regclean the microsoft power tool, or you can try ADD/Remove Plus, great little program that allows you to uninstall programs where the uninstaller is broken, at the link below.

Thanks for all the help.Even purchased Add/Remove Plus,but even that will not delete files,only removed from add/remove programs.Will just have to put up with it.
