Building laptops

is it possible to build one like building a box? where do i go for parts if it is?

Currently you can not build a custom laptop like you can a regular PC since there is no standard for motherboard sizes and such.

I built-up a laptop, gateway Solo 9300 from parts I picked up on eBay, this was purely for fun, there is very little if any cross compatability between components. As it turns out, I spent more than if I had simply bought a laptop, but it was fun!!
