I have 2 systems on dial-up I can ping the servers but I can't go anywhere using IE or Netscape, have tried un-installing/re-installing TCP/IP but can't get anywhere, any ideas?

I had a machine do that once, what happens if you type in the numerical address instead of the www, does it work then?

No, I had tried that also, the browsers don't seem to work at all. I have had this problem in the past and was able to resolve it by TCP/IP un-install/re-install, this time it just doesn't want to work. The one machine on this small network that does work has the strangest settings, ( DNS 192.168.0.1 and GW 192.168.0.1 ) I tried that on the non-working ones but nogo( I really didn't think it would work ). These machines are on a network, they are Win98SE hooked via hub to an NT server, I haven't done anything for these people previous so I have no history. I was told the NT server is required by a program they run, I am beginning to suspect that this program may somehow be responsible for the problems.
