Hi all:
Was wondering if any of you used Eudora 4.x with Win2K. I've stuck with Eudora forever [it seems] now, and beginning to get on my nerves. Crashes a lot [less than 9x though] and just found out yesterday that it is a resource hog beyond belief, 99% CPU usage even when not polling mail servers.
OE by comparison is just bulky on space, seems light on the processor & resources.
I really dont want to use OE, if I can get any suggestions from u..
Thanx

I use Eudora 4.2 on my home system and my laptop, both running Win2000 pro. with no problems at all after 4 months of use (2 months on the laptop). I'd hate to be stuck with Outlook after my years with Eudora http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/smile.gif

Mr. Cling - go take a serious look at Pegasus - its free and very easy on resources. It is virtually immune to all the nasty critters that seem to infect Outhouse and Outhouse Express these days.

It is different from anything you have ever seen before in e-mail clients, but it's extremely powerful and it will grow on ya.

I will give pegasus an honest shot, thank you!

Its been 8 years with Eudora .. I'm not saying I have a problem with it, but its alarming the resources it uses up, it tells me of some serious leaks! Me who is used to the NIX is shocked

Hmmm...if you are a nixhead I think you will like Peg. It's the closest you will get to a text based client for Winblows.
