The other day I had to go over to a friends home and remove a couple virii
from their computer,The ones that I found after installing nortons were w32.magistr.24876@mm and w script.kak worm.dr....Nortons found them and quaretined...it had about 25 infected files...the problem is I did not know what to do about the infected files after quarentine....Can anyone please tell me what if anything I can do??TIA...GaryD..

Mouse1 if you go to Norton's site I'm sure they have a fix you can download to floppy that will fix the infected files so you don't have to delete them from the system. That's the optimal thing to do. What version of Norton did you use? Usually Norton will prompt you to fix or quarantine the files, or delete.

Blankman..I am using Norton System Works 2001, I did go their web site
and looked for the fix, but was not sure exactly what to do after I downloaded the fix...GaryD..

Just save it on a floppy and run it on the machine with the virus. I've used it several times on machines I've fixed. It's a sweet executable that goes through the files on the infected machine and cleans as it goes. The nice thing about it is it repairs the files so you don't have to worry about quarantining or deleting them. Hope this helps a bit.

a floppy can I take it over to my friend computer and run it???GaryD.
