Anyone got this up and running?...any comments about it?

I've tried to run it, but get a kernel panic error...wouldn't mind knowing if anyone else has had similar problems, or what it's like to use...

I've tried it and in fact I'm using it right now. It's my favorite out of Windows, Linux, and Mac.

I haven't experienced what you're talking about, but is this the free version?

I tried the free version, and i found that its basically a demo, its not like linux where everything is free.

yeah, sorry... it's the full version of BeOS 5.0 Personal Edition...

I guess I've got some hardware incompatibilities somewhere then... I had the same problem with... wait for it... Winlinux too...

Maybe I'll just stick with Windows forever... http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/frown.gif

I don't know what system specs you have but try this site.

http://www.bebits.com/app/2680. It mentions several modern CPU's including Athlon XP and Duran and certian pentuiums that the BOS 05 is not comaptable with.
