the USB on my friends computer stoped working all of a suddon. I went into device manager, and in Universal Serial Bus controllers, the two USB Root Hubs have a yellow ! next to them. I hit properties and in device status it says:

the NTKERN.VXD device loader for this device could not load the device driver, code 2.

I tried updating the VIA 4in1 drivers, I removed the two hubs and had windows try to redect them, but it still doesn't work. I went to update driver and it says that the best driver is already installed. The board is an iWill, and the computer is running windows 98 SE.

If the computer has a real windows disk and not a restore disk, just run the windows install again. If all you have is a restore disk and you have a NIC card, go to the deive manager and remove the NIC card profile, restart and when reinstall the NIC card drivers, then when it asks for the Windows disk put it in or point to the Windows folder and let it re-install.
Another thing to use is Download and install Tweakui from the link below, run it and under repair select repair system files and it should do it. Just read the instructions on how to install Tweakui.

BY the way, since I am a computer nerd, try my last suggestion first as it is the easiest one.
