View Full Version : inaccessible drive in Win95
I added a second hard drive to an old Pentium 133mhz computer. Partitioned new drive D-H, all the partitions show up fine, but when I attempt to access the cdrom (now I drive), I get the message " I: not accessible. A device attached to the system is not functioning." Everything appears fine in the device mgr.
Suggestions?
Did you do an auto detect for IDE devices in BIOS?

Check the IDE Connections again, might be loose :D
Are you trying to access through a game or program? Or windows Explorer?
I was going over some related threads, and one gave me an idea. I upped the drive letters available in dos and wallah! There was the cdrom as j drive. So i drive is actually a partition, although not accessible. I guess I could run fdisk again if it really bothers me, but I probably should leave well enough alone since I have access to the other partitions and the cdrom is working.
Thanks
