If I have onboard video set to 64 m.b. is that the same as a 64 m.b. agp 4X card. Does 4x mean 256 m.b. total? Is my little chart right at the bottom?

4x
64 m.b.=256 m.b.
32 m.b.=128 m.b.
16 m.b.=64 m.b.

I'm thinking my 64 onboard would be = to a 16 m.b. video card. Am I right?

Noo.... 8x, 4x, 2x is the speed of the agp bus. So 4x is the speed at which data is transfered from the card. The amount of RAM is just the amount of RAM that the card has and is unrelated to the speed. HTH

The ram is where the textures are stored man
That is the agp bus 2X 4X
The higher both are the better

Hope you understand it better
