Hello,
I have a GeForce 2 GTS card and after I installed the newest drivers (23.11) the 1024x768 mode does not work with Direct3D. When a Direct 3D based game chooses 1024x768 my monitor gets black and reports a "non supported video mode. Change back to 1024x768 @ 60 Hz". This error message occurs when a higher resolution is chosen (because max. res. is 1024x768).
640x480 and 800x600 are handled correctly. Games that use OpenGL (i.e. Counter-Strike) don't have that problem, 1024x768 works normal.
Is this a bug in the 23.11 driver ? I've never had problems with 1024x768 with Direct3D (had to lower the res. to 800x600 in nearly all games :( ), only now with the 23.11.
If it's a bug, does anyone know what resolution this driver tries to set when 1024x768 is chosen ?
And the previous driver, was it the 21.83 ? (maybe I have to install the older driver for now. . but I hope nvidia fixes that problem).
