Ping Times

Hi all, xcuse me if this is a rather dah kind of question, i'm learning. But how does one go about testing their ping time??? thanks

Start, Run, type command, ok. On next screen type tracert netscape.com (or whatever site you choose). Use a space between tracert and site.

If you have a dialup connection and want to decrease your pings, there is a great little program called SmartPlay. Unlike some performance boosting software, it really works. You only have to run it once. You can find it at http://www.tweakfiles.com/networking/ .

well i did the tracert, used my ISP address and got 4 drops at 3-4ms, not sure if that's the way to do it. Any comments? Thanks
