Compromise and get a vanilla GeForce3, it's between the Ti200 and the Ti500 performence wise.

I have a MSI GF3 Ti200 and like it alot. Seems as fast as I would imagine a video card should be. 200's are around $150 now. Toms hardware had a complete run down on all the Ti 200's the other week I believe...

Whats wrong with a sucky audio card? :D Frankly, unless you are a musician, a sucky card is just fine. I would spend the money on the video card.

Er, I would take care with the Geforce 4 too. Depending on the games you play, it might not be faster than the GeForce 3 ( the new Doom III and endless spawns , including Quake IV are supposed to run slower on a GeForce IV). Course the good news is that when the IV is in the shops in numbers the price of the 3's should drop.

I'd cast my vote for the Ti200. Unless you get extra cash into you plate, then I'd go for the Ti500.

Good Luck,

I recenlty purchased a GF3Ti200 128ddr ram by Winfast for 190.00 US. I am extremely happy with this card even at factory default clock settings it provides great video quality in gaming. I did OC to Ti500 specs just to see how it ran and it runs beautiful with no problems, but I did bring it back to default so as not to shorten the life of the card, just in case. To be honest I did not see a remarkable change in picture quality when it was OCed. If I ever need to get a new vid card I wil go with winfast again. By the way I replaced a GF4 MX440 with this card. The MX440 is an ok card if your looking to save some cash (around 120.00 US) but the GF3ti200 blows it out of the water. DB

My advice is to buy a Gainward/Expert GF3TI200 w/ 128 DDR RAM. This card has kick has amount of RAM, and awesome overclocking ability. With enough cooling, you should be able to put it to the speed of the TI500. Dont's by the GF4MX 'cuz it aint has good as a base TI200, let alone one which has that much RAM and is OC'd.

I'm planning to pick up a VISIONTEK Ti500 in the near future. I just cannot settle for less. Whats this about a geforce 4?? OH NO!
