I am looking to network my two computers at home. I was looking at the D-Link ethernet cards. Are these any good or does anyone have a better brand recomendation.

I was just planning on using a I think it is called a patch cable? Aslo is Belkin a good brand for cables?

Would I need anything else to network them?

D-Link is fine. If you're doing it without a hub, you need a crossover cable. Belkin cables are fine.

Hello,
I have 3 dlink nic and have no problem with them. All worked fine under Windows 2000 professional, redhat 7.2 and openbsd 3.0 .I also have friends who bought dlink nic and he is happy with his cards.:)
btw, dlink nic has a mini processor built-in to reduce cpu load which is a very nice feature :)
