I am looking for an AGP card that will be compatable with an AOPEN AX63pro MB (VIA Apollo Pro 133 chipset). The AGP slot in the board is only (1x/2x) 1.0 compatable. Many brands and models claim to be 1.0 compatable, but i am sceptical. Must i rule out all GeForce cards? I am curious to hear what cards people have gotten to work with AGP 1.0 slots.
Thanks in advance

Hi bagman71,
It depends on how the AGP card connectors are keyed. An AGP 1.0 card keyed to 3.3V will only fit in AGP 1.00 slot e.g. the original Geoforce 256. I am running an Elsa Erazor X (Geoforce 256)in a P2450 BX2 mobo. Although Elsa have decided to get out of the graphics cards ratrace, their are still plenty of their cards based on the Geoforce 256 on the retail shelves.
However, certain card cards are keyed Universal AGP and can run at AGP 1.0 (3.3V) and AGP 2.00 (1.5V). As far as I remember, all the Radeon series of cards are Universal keyed and should work in a AGP 1.0 slot.
However, I am not sure which Geoforce 2 cards are keyed Universal AGP, if any.
