Well, on my main comp, I can connect via MSN or AOL; however, once I connect, I can't visit any websites. I have gone through the modem and Internet properties, but everything seems to be in order. It happened after I switched to a different modem, and, then, switched back to the original modem. Any help will be greatly appeciated, even if it's a shot in the dark!

I thought I would add that it is an ISA LT Winmodem installed on COM 1.

Sounds like maybe a browser problem. If you are using IE, go to Tools: Internet Options and check to make sure it is using your connection and your current modem. Just a guess, let us know what it turns out to be.

Check dial-up-networking, connection properties, make sure you've got the right DNS settings for your ISP.
Uncheck all but TCP/IP protocalls.

To elobrate on what TUF posted. Tools, Internet Options, Connections tab, Highlight ISP provider tab, click settings, click properties. Different modems appear in drop down menue under dial-up-connections.

I may not be much, but I'm all I think about.
Check in Internet Options - Connections - LAN settings. Turn off all proxies and uncheck the auto detect settings box.
