What are you running the mouse on? If it is a shinny desk or some other reflective surface, then the mouse could get screwy. Try putting the mouse on a mouse pad or some other object. You could also install new drivers for the mouse at the microsoft site. Hope this helps.

Are you using USB or the PS/2 adapter?

Did you uninstall every other possible mouse driver file before installing this mouse and it's driver? That seems to cause a lot of troubles with this mouse.

My Intellimouse behaves that way on a fake oak laminate desktop, and sometimes other solid color low contrast surfaces. I'd bet money on the simple solution. Find a mousepad with contrast that the eye can see "landmarks" on. If no more problem...peachy, saved yourself a lot of headache.

My intellimouse with intellieye does that once in a while where it would jump to another spot for no apparent reason. I agree with AndyM by buying something that's not as smooth as laminated surface and it should resolve the problem http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have an intelliEye mouse as well. I've never had this particular problem. I use the same mousepad I did when I had my logitech wheelmouse. I agree that a mousepad would prolly fix your problem. Plus it's better for the desk. If those silicon glides ever wear away or fall off you could scratch the desk surface.

Ihave to say that i use the same mouse. It is the best mouse that I have ever had. I use mine on a fabric mouse pad. just playing a round I put it on a mirror and it did go kind of crazy, so the surface has alot to do with this mouse and every other mouse on the market....
