I want to know if it's worth the $45 to get it right now? Does anyone know if the price will go down in the coming months? And last but not least will it run smooth on the system in my sig? oh and another question! how real is the D-Day mission?!?! I am trying to sell some old software(in the For Sale forum) to get enough $$$ to buy it!
Thanks!

Definately buy it now m8, the price probably won't go down until Counter-Strike: Condition Zero arrives and when it does no other game matters!

You'll end up getting it at this price anyway, otherwise it will just eat at you for what you are missing.

A fantastic game, still playing it.
When a "mission pack" or editor comes out...weeee!
A fantastic game thats more aimed at real life situations.
Beats RTCW with ease...

I have the multiplayer demo and it's great! The only drawback is you need DSL or better to play without lagg:( I have 56k so I can't play online unless it's 1 vs 1. BTW, I just downloaded the SP demo and it's even better then the MP one (IMHO)!

I've not seen this game in action yet. If you were a salesman, how would you convince me that I need this game? Is seeing believing?

Tiretool, Its a great game! If you need convincing how bout a kick by the foot!:D
I just downloaded both demo versions, and this game is much more than I thought. It is suprisingly realistic, to the clips you reload your weapon with, to the environment your playing in.
But for $50... I think I will stick with UT.

Hello there Tool,
I guess the best way is getting the SP demo. Its a monster of a download at almost 180MB but well worth the wait. I have DSL so that was no biggy to me. If however you try via dial-up, ouch.
The game is exactly what I was hoping RTCW would be but wasn't.
I wanted realisem in the objective(s), realisem is "physics" and no "monsters" and other hogwash. The D-Day landing was quite real dependant on difficulty settings.
In the demo, you and a 3 others have to locate and destroy a group of "missle launchers" of sorts via an occupied town. The Germans attempt to thwart your attempts. This requires "sharp shooting" (aka-sniper), general house to house "sweeping" and other fortified posistions.
The settings of difficulty increase realisem. At the lower settings, you can take several hits as your health reduces on each hit. At the moderate settings, hits take higher tolls which is quite realistic. At the highest setting, its most real, any hit can kill or at least "really hurt".
In the full game, a D-Day mission where you come ashore in a landing craft to a VERY hostile beach (as it should be), getting out of the landing craft and onto the beach is a challenge in itself when difficulty settings are "moderate".
If this type of "FPS" is your thing, this IS your game.
I nabbed it from our local wally world (WalMart) for 30 bux.
Easily worth the bux. RTCW was ok at the start but I became tired of "monsters popping out of the walls" and the gun physics were below par.

Toaster,
You paid only $30US for MOHAA at Wal-Mart!?!?
Tiretool,
Get both of the demos! I can't believe how awesome the AI are in this game! they take cover and hide behind things, they don't just run at you shooting and they don't get killed with one shot unless you hit them in the head! I have finished the SP demo in easy and now I'm trying to win in medium.

Howdy,
The game was a paltry 29.96 at my local wally world.
Iv'e bought many a game and this one is a keeper.
The graphics are quite good if you have the hardware.
On my "gaming box", it ran very well at high settings.
PIII-1.2 ghz
384MB RAM
GeForce 256 (32MB)
SB AWE64/gold
9GB SCSI HDD and 24X CDROM
I set all the visual controlls to the setting one notch below maximum and its smoothe as silk. At the highest settings, the D-Day level starts off a tad jumpy and then settles down.

WOW if it is only $30 at my local Wal-Mart then I'm getting it the next time I go there! I've paid more for games that suck ace and this game seems to be one of the best ever!
