I was in Staples today picking up cleaning supplies and I decided to wander over to the computers for my own amusement. They were a selling a Compaq system with an Athlon 1.3 gig T-Bird packed in a little mini tower case with no extra ventilation whatsoever. Looked like one fan in the back. Amazing:eek: How stupid do they think we are? The really sad part is there's some fool sucker out there with zilch comp knowledge who will buy the thing, take it home, and scratch his head when it starts randomly rebooting. What a sad, sad world we live in

Those prebuilders find a way to solve a lot of heat problems I had a P2-233MHz with a massive HS and no HS fan. It never overheat. When tried with a smaller HSF it overheated quickly. The got to be thinking a little bit: release product: product dies: warranty not expired: we lose money. no no no! but I do wonder what they did.
