Hello all, I am going to be doing an lcd project and was wondering how can I make a stand for my LCD?

Thanks

I would want to make someting similar to the one in the included picture.

The box in the photo looks like a standard project box from radioshack. They come in many different sizes. You could also just look for old things which have the right kind of box and cut the old stuff out of it.

What kind of lcd are you buying? Parrallel or Serial?

heres some good links:

HTH, i bought a cheap 16x2 character one with a parallel connection, and ive almost got it installed in my system. Ive got all the wiring right though, and it works nicely.

well liiks, it looks like a project box but what about that leg and base?

Also, I'm going to buy a Parrallel because I don't know of any really good lcd drivers that support serial although I wish that I could do serial instead.

Most software supports both serial and parallel, heres some links to some software that ive found:

That leg and base looks like something somebody just fabricated. If you or a friend have some mechanical skills and access to some tools or better yet a machine shop then you could make anything you want. Or you can just hunt around for something that will do the same purpose.
