Both are good. Base your decision on which has the software/support/warranty/price that you are comfortable with.

Plextor would be my choice... but as Hal mentioned there are other factors to take into account.

Hi,
I just got the HP9110i, and it has worked great for me. Installation was a breeze, and the Adaptec software works great. I'm real pleased with its performance in burning audio and data disks.

I have to agree with Floppyman, I've been using an HP 9110i for a couple of months now... No problems, smooth install, and NO coasters!! http://www.pcmech.com/ubb/smile.gif

Just bought a HP 9110 last week and it works great. Easy install and excellent software bundle. I would highly recommend it.
Good luck,

I am a fan of the Plextor. I've been using a 8/4/32 ide for 5 months now with no coasters. Easy to install and use.

Take Smoke's advice as fact if it works and fiction if it don't!!!
