Mouse cleaning

Since i can't afford an intelli eye mouse nor do i wanna support mickeysoft..what is the best way to clean the mouse innards...i ususally just use my fingernail and scrape off the rollers...anyone else have any suggestions?

Since I'm some what hoof handed, I use an eraser on a pencil. If it is really messed up, I have carefully used a small screwdriver to scrape the rollers.

A q-tip moistened with rubbing alcohol works well. If you don't want to support Microsoft, Logitech just came out with a "intellieye" mouse. They of course call it something different. This prolly doesn't help the money issue any, though.

I just bought a couple of the Logitech species mice (Dexxa sub-species) at buy.com for $21 each.

ya, just scrape the rollers off, then polish em with a q-tip and some windex.. best to use something mild.
another big thing that is sometimes overlooked are those kinda plastic rectangular glide pads underneath the mouse body, which elevates it a bit.. they usually get covered in crud and add to the drag alot

Hey Wheels. How bout reporting back here or droping me a line on performance of the Logitech mice after a few weeks. I have a Logitech marble ball, but have been thinking about a intellieye with scrooling wheel. I like my marble ball but it doesn't have the scrooling wheel.

I always use long q-tips and alcohol. A word of advice though. Don't take the screws out of the mouse to do any deeper cleaning. There's nothing there to clean and, in my case, it just spilled it's guts all over the place. It wasn't a great USB mouse anyway.

Stay away from a Kensington mouse. They are the worst things I've ever tried to use.
