I just installed a new HD and installed the OS and all and realized I dont have a virus protection program! Whats a good one that I could download for free? Can you get Norton off the net free? I have a dial up connection so I dont need a firewall. Thanks everyone.

Hi trailboss 004,
I gotta agree with Sarge. I've been using AVG for a while now and it does a fine job. :)

Does AVg have something similar to NAVs Auto Live Update? Free is good, but so is convenience! Thanks for the info.

Yes, AVG has an updater. You can check for updates manually or use the scheduler to do automatic update checks when you specify. It's a really nice program. Not as invasive as NAV and has a much smaller "footprint".
