Hello,

Is there any way of having it so that certain users may only log on to a certain specified group of computers on a large (200-machine) windows 2000-based network (Win2K Adv. server, WinXP workstations)? The computers should be able to accept anyone's logon, except for the fact that they would be the only computers on the network to accept certain users' logons.

Thanks for any help,
Geron

Hi I can't be specific but as the administrator of the network there is a way to give privledge to some users and not to others and I believe the server is your key

i have access to a 2k server w/exchange server package. i don't really know what the exchange server added on, but from what i see you should be able to go into the active user directory and edit the users profile so that they can only log onto certain ip addresses. if your network is running DHCP (which i think it is), that probably won't help. all i see on my end, though, is IP lockout, nothing about host name lockout.
