I cannot access my router now for some reason. Cannot do it from any computer. I type in the IP address like I used to but it comes back with an error. It is a Netgear 114. Any ideas?

I have a netgear 314, and that same thing happened to me. I was fooling around with the IP settings and royaly f***ed something up and couldn't access it at all. I had to go down to radioshack and buy a RS-232 DB9 male to female cable. Connect the router to your computer with that and read the pdf file that came with the router on how to see how to upload the original firmware to revert it back the original defaults. Now, if you just got the router and you can't connect, then this is not the problem, but if it has been working fine, try that. HTH

Thanks for the reply. The network has been working well for a couple months. I was just going to check the logs and clear as I have done in the past, and could not get the IP address to work. i have not changed anything (on purpose).

Hmm. Can the computers get online? Because when I messed mine up my computers couldn't get online or access it's configuration. Try troubleshooting it some more, but if nothing works you might wanna try what I did.

I could get online with any computer. However.....
Solution has been found - though somewhat embarassing - my lack of attention to detail. I noted that when I typed in the IP address of the router it was preceded by WWW. No good. Without the WWW it works quite well. Thanks. (End of thread....)
