Hi guys.

I am pretty new at this forum and have to make a choice in installing windows xp corporate.

I am running windows 98 se and no problems with it. However want to learn about xp as well and don't feel like getting rid of my 98.

In order to keep 98 I undurstand I can make my system a dual boot system.

I have originally installed in my hard drive 98 on C: and have a second partition on my primary hard drive E:, the reason is E: is because I have a second hard drive wich takes D: place.

I need advice in how to partition my hard drives, also if it is a good idea to keep everything as it is and load xp on the second hard drive or if it is a good idea to back up everything and start from scratch. :(

I have partition magic to modify my partitions setup, but not too sure how it works.

Also if the advice is to start from scratch it would be great if someone posts step by step.

Thank you all, and have a great day.

well, if you already have drives C, D, and E.. then just install XP on D or E..
and if you want to access the drive that has XP when you're using Win98, during the installation choose FAT32 instead of NTFS format...good luck.

Try the boot magic. It works great on this system. I am runnign Win98 and Win 2K and had no problems with boot magic and the partitioning process. Good luck and have fun!
