This one's for anyone who knows much about networked printer printing. I have an HP printer shared over my home network that is connected to the other pc which is an AMD K7/2 333 MHz with 128 MB of ram. Sometimes, well most times, when I print to it it will print the first couple of pages fine then maybe print half of the next then just start firing out empty pages. I can print everything fine if I use the pc conneted directly to the printer.

I changed the spool settings on both systems so that printing starts after the last page is spooled, but this didn't help. I am using a Linksys BEFSR41 router to connect the two systems.

If anyone know knows to solve this one please respond, thanks.

I have a HP712C connected to my WIN98 PC in a setup like yours and in printer properties of the XP PC printing to it under the advanced tab, Print Processor, I'm using WinPrint and RAW. Am able to print multiple pages without any problems. My printer on the WIN98 PC uses the parallel port and LPT1.

I also have the Spool print documents and Start printing immediately radio buttons turned on and Enable advanced printing features checked in the advanced tab.

Alright, but what's the difference between EMF and RAW? I've been using EMF, I'll try RAW as see how it goes. I think I am going to reformat with XP tomorrow so thanks for the info. The main reason I keep putting it off is the issue of networking the two system together, I mean networking Win98 pc's and networking XP's is different right?
