Digital Camera Recommendations

I am in the market for a digital camera and would like to get some recommendations. I will be using it mainly to take pix of items that I intend to sell on EBay. It doesn't have to be fancy, just functional. TIA

I'll recommend the Fuji FinePix A201!

I've had it for about six months and so far it's been a great all around camera!

Thanks, I found the Jamcam at Circuit City and think I will give it a try, the price is $49.99 after rebate. I will keep your suggestion in mind if I decide to upgrade.

You experience may be different, but for an inexpensive and half way decent digital camera, I would highly recommend the Agfa CL-18. It takes decent pics for Ebay, the web, e-mail and holds up to 32-640x480 pics. It can be had on ebay for $30-$50. I've had mine for 1 1/2 years and have been quite pleased with it. It takes pretty darn good shots outside, but inside-despite having a built in flash- it can be picky. I bought a used 8mm movie light for $4 and it's worked well for my Ebay shots. PS- I'm going to be selling mine (finally moving up to something with an optical zoom).....just in case you're interested. Also, whatever you end up with get a USB model as the serial port type will eat batteries like there's no tomorrow.

I paid about $120 for my first digital because I thought I'd only use it for work to document damage to packages in transit. Just don't get caught in the trap that you'll only need a digital camera for eBay so a cheapie model will do. Consider that once you get started you will find other things to photograph. You'll find it so easy and convenient that you'll want to use it for everything. Then your $50 camera may not be sufficient. I'm not saying to go spend a small fortune, but consider carefully your potential needs before settling for a cheapie. I ended up buying a new $300 camera within a few months after I paid $120 for the cheapie. I could have had a $420 camera with more pixels if I had thought it out better. Just some wisdom from a person who fell into the trap. Good luck.

I sell a lot on Ebay. I recommend you buy a decent camera that definitly has a built in flash, especially if you plan on taking pictures inside. The ones without a flash take good pic outside but not inside. I bought a Relisys Dimera for about $60.00 this is the least I would buy. My Polaroid takes slightly better pics.

The Jamcam I bought has a built in flash. I got it for $49.99 and will have $24.99 invested after a $25.00 mail in rebate. If I do decide to move up I won't be out much.
