this may be a little out of place, as its more of a web or software question, but i already typed it up, and it does deal with a peripheral, so on that..

im attempting to put a webcam up on my page, and im having some trouble. Im using a d-link dsb-c100 cam, pretty crappy cam i got for free for buying xp i think, but it works, now what im attempting to do is have the pic in a pop up window and refresh every 30 seconds. i have all the coding done, and i downloaded a program called spycam that should import the pics through my ftp program, but it isnt working. if anyone has used this program before and knows about it, or if anyone else has setup a cam with any other program, i would appreciate any info i could use, thanks for your help.

thanks,
geo

Most people that setup cams are using WebCam32 or Coffecup WebCam. Logitech's cameras also come with the software to do this.
If you really want a cam for something other than e-mail type stuff, go to www.justdeals.com and get one of the refurbished Logitech Quickcam Travelers for $47.77 (New they are $149.99). You'll get a real clear picture, buit in mic, and it is actually a decent still camera.
