Processor Speed and Mem. Amt. with C++

Could anyone possibly suggest any ideas on how to determine processor speed and memory amount using Borland C++. I've tried just about every resource available to me, but no luck. I'm at a loss. I've tried everything I can think of from using the asm{} command to trying to time an event. Any help would be appreciated.
