Getting big time data corruption of data in transport in a 10 baseT network runnin win98
peer to peer.Ran a checksum looks ok..thinkin
maybe a bad nic somewhere or the pipes arent big enuff for the data flow.14 stations(ya I know its over the limit for peer to peer..any ideas???

Your "data" will not get corrupted at or below the network level. It can be but if it does it will not reach the other systems. It will be discarded - it will appear as a inability to transfer the data. When there are corrupted data problems start at the top.
What programs-versions---what OS's, etc

collisions? is a fair question - depends how/where the data corruption is observed.

Doubt perr to peer limmit is 14 - they make 24 port hubs.

Dont know collision % or maybe that it matters,since what Bob's saying does make sense.Any corrupted packets shouldnt get through...mmm

You make sense but even if the corruption started at an upper layer say in the application layer of the stack and worked its way down and out the door to the network
this shouldnt happen unless its being corrupted when being received.Im actually working on this prob for a friend and certainly need more details I think...thanx
