I need help with the following issue:

I curently have a network node running over a 10Base fiber (Single mode) connection. I wish to upgrade this to 100base-tx. The fiber link is terminated on both ends with (ST) connectors, all of the Media conversion devices I have seen are RJ45 x SC connections. Does anyone know of a converter (stand alone) that goes from RJ45 to a (ST) connection? (Or is this possible?) I have worked alot with CAT5 networks, but am new to Fiber. Any advise would be helpfull.

Thanks

Try http://www.lancast.com/Products/100Mbps_solutions.html

I've used their "Twister" model transceivers in the past and have had good luck. They offer them in either ST or SC.

Depending on how you're setup (your terminations, that is) you could always get ST-to-SC patch cables (or vice-versa) if needed.

Call up Allied telesyn (www.alliedtelesyn.com) representative in your area. They are pretty goood in media converter devices.
