help!!

hi everyone...

I recently installed a program called acronis os selector 5.0 demo, cause I was looking to partition my hard drive, but I never did.
Then, everytime I started the computer, acronis os selector would ask me whether I wanted to boot win 98, DOS, ASPLinux, or from a floppy. This started to annoy me, so I deleted the program. My problem is that ever since i deleted it, my computer doesn't start at all. I get the compaq screen, then just a black screen. I tried starting windows with my boot disk, and with the norton antivirus CD, the compaq reformatting disk, nothing worked...

Hmmm, I was going to suggest putting in your Windows boot disk and typing at the prompt

FDISK/MBR and pressing enter (that should fix you up)

However, if your Floppy doesn't boot your computer perhaps you should check the BOOT order in your BIOS (And make sure it starts with C: if you wish to boot from your hard drive or starts with A: if you wish to start with your bootdisk in order to do the above to get it all working)
