AdAware in 2000

i have windows 2000 pro and windows xp pro. whenever i try to run adaware, it scans through the registry just fine, but then it freezes when i scan the drives. i have two harddrives partitioned into three drives, 2 of which are ntfs. i thought the problem might lie in the ntfs file system, so i ran a scan on the fat32 drive. the scan appeared to freeze at first, but after 10 seconds it ran just fine. does adaware have problems with ntfs that anyone is aware of?

Works fine for me .. are you running as Administrator? Might help to do so if u have security settings (ownerships and/or quotas) on the drives.
