I just finished a new build and wanted to run dual os-98se and linux but I remember reading an article about linux and the new shuttle mobo ak35gtr. The author stated that he had a lot of problems with this mobo due to the highpoint raid controller 372. Has anyone heard anything along these lines and if so where can I find the info--really wanted to use linux in this system even made sure that the optical drives selected could run under linux. Thanks for any help

Hi there vah234,
I see you've been sitting here a while so I did a little poking around for you. I don't know if this helps, but I found the Linux driver for your RAID controller. I haven't found any article or HOW-TO's but you might want to try linuxnewbie.org.
Hope this helps,

I have three dual boot computer here, although I don't use RAID. If I can be of some help, let me know. On one machine, I dual boot with Windows 2K using the Windows boot loader. On another I also dual boot with Windows 2K using System Commander. And on another I dual boot with 2K using LILO. I am currently running Mandrake 8.2 as my distro of choice but I have been playing around with Lycoris and Peanut Linux as well.
What distro are you going to run?
