View Full Version : Win98se auto-booting into safe mode?

Basically, the computer suddenly started booting into safe-mode no matter what happened. If left alone on boot it went to safe mode, and if you hit F8 and selected "Normal" it still went to safe mode. Any ideas?

Hi Randomaxess,

Try checking in msconfig> General tab> Advanced and see if the option to always go to the Boot Menu is selected.

I had a problem similar to this, and I reinstalled 95, it worked. But I would take Crickets idea better. Its easier....if it works...
