I had a problem like that once with WIN98 FE and IE5.5 after I downloaded and installed a popup ad killer. Uninstalled the ad killer and problem cleared up.

Don't know if you are running one or not though.

try going to tools>internet options> advanced and setting them to the default value. then see what happens. If that doesn't fix it look at the security settings in internet options and let us know where they are set.

Hi Spyda,

Try clearing out the Temporary Internet Files folder as well as the Windows Temp folder.

Reduce the size of the Temporary Internet Files folder to 50MB or so. The default size is much too big.

Using a PopUp stopper is a good idea. You might want to try a cookie stopper too.

and whatever you do don't upgrade to IE6.0; that's more headaches then it's worth. Also the guys are right we need more detailed information and also don't tell us what not to do because that will just encourage us to say what I'm about to say

When problems is resolved go here www.panicware.com install pop-up stopper don't be fooled with pop-up killer the later does not do a dam thing as I can atest to this.

Once installed and enabled it will stop all pop-up add on your pc, but first you must go to options>preferences>pop-up control>Pop-Up Control Mode> and but a check in Enable aggressive pop-up control.

I found this to be a very handy tool against pop-ups and If you have a problem getting to a site because of it just hit Ctrl-Shift and then click go on your browser and you will get where you want. Just thought I tell you about it just incace your interested.

Good Luck.
