Appreciate some assistance.

When Microsoft Office Professional was installed on this PC, the incorrecrt spelling of my name was entered for the program. Now, every time something like MS Word is used, the initial screen when the program starts shows my name incorrectly spelled.

Presume the name needs changed in the Registry, but do not know where to go to change it.

Any suggestion as to which Registry key to check out?

Thanks for your help.

For Office 2000, I found the registry key here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\UserInfo

Only snag is that it is in Unicode format, so you will need a hex editor to change it. But it will work.

Perform a search in the regestry for any references to misspelled name and replaced it with correct one.
Just start Registry editor by typing regedit in Start > Run. Select first top container, than on Edit menu select Find. Fill up the field and click Find Next.

Regards.
