Hey everyone!
Where do you usually find the log file that records all the websites that you have visited?
Someone was on my PC and there are a bunch of downloaded files, and i want to see where he got them....
Anyone know? On both 98 and Win2000 ?
I know there must be a log somewhere....but I can't find it....
Help! Thanks guys/gals!

What browser was used? Each has it's own History feature which keeps a track of what sites have been visited, just look for the button the toolbar.

IE keeps a list of cookies in INDEX.DAT, so you may be able to find some info there. In Win2K, it is in the "Cookies" folder of whatever user you are looking for (Users are in the "Documents and Settings" folder). I would think that it would be in the Cookies folder in Win98 as well, not entirely sure about that, though.
That's the closest thing to a log file I can think of.

Yeah, there is a list of sites in the index.dat files.
Here's how to find the sites: http://www.fsm.nl/ward/

Sarge,
What version are you running? V1.04 or the beta v1.16. I just ran across this and I run win2k so I am just curious. Thanks
