after doing some investigation with my pc to figure out why i couldn't overclock my processor much i was checking temps and i notice that the temp for the board in sisoft sandra was kinda high, but being as though the probe was on the video card and it is overclocked i thought that was the problem...i took the probe off of the vid card and the temp for the processor disappeared..that meant that i was looking at the wrong temp..the higher temp was the processor ant it was running over 50C when i over clocked it...

so i need a better heatsink..what do you guys suggest for a good overclocking heatsink that will fit on the soltek 75drv4 board..

i have read somewhere that some heatsinks wont fit because of the placement of some power caps around the processor slot..

TIA

where u at morris ???

i know u use these boards alot...

any suggestions woulld be appreciated...

you can check your bios for probably the most reliable temps.
also, i know i've written about my volcano 7 by thermaltake not fitting correctly because of a capacitor or something by the processor socket. i'm not sure of the dimensions, they may have them on thermaltake's website, then you can compare to other heatsink/f dimensions you find. i use a volcano 5 now, and run between 37C and 44C.

Here is one of morris's reply's to another member regarding your board and I think you are also in there posting! Morris told Sarge that he was using the VANTEC CCK-6027D. Check it out for your self.
