Hi all,

Is it possible to run dual monitor in linux if you have a dualhead videocard such as the Matrox G550? If so, so does this get configured during the install, or do you have to configure it manually? If manually, how would you go about configuring your linux system to run dual monitors? Thanks in Advance.

Hi Floppyman,

Yes you can. I have no expirience myself, but I found this http://www.glug.org.za/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=8
It's a short tutorial that should give some hints al least.

Thanks OOPS,

Do you know if dual monitors would work right away with the Matrox G550 since it's dualhead card? Or would I have to edit the files just as the link was describing for two separate videocards? Thanks again.

Looks like I came across what I was looking for on the Matrox site.:

The release notes for the latest linux drivers explain everything pretty well. Thanks again for the help.
