I finally upgraded my video card to a Prophet II DDR, Geforce. I'm using the latest driver (dated 5-30-00) from the Hercules site. However, I was playing around with UT and found that UT runs significantly faster and with less slowdown when running UT without any patches. The patches I tried: 405b, 413, and 420. I also noted on the UT site that other people have seen the same thing when using a Geforce. Problem is that I think I need a newer patch to play on the internet. Anyone know of a workaround?

You could try relacing the d3d driver files from the unpatched version after you have patched it, they are in the UT\system dir.
