I want a game pad!?!?!?

So I was looking at the spiderman game and saw a advertisement for the spiderman game pad. I searched and searched and found that there isn't one for the pc. I've been thinking that the controls for spidey on the Pc kinda suck. So now I'm not sure if I should get one!

Two guestions:

1) are game pads worth getting for the pc

2) If so which ones are any good?

oh, I don't do driving and flying games. This would before spidey or RTCW or something like these. thanks.

IMO nothing beats the standard microsoft sidewinder. Cheap, comfortable, and easy to install.

I like the Logtech Wingman pad, simple and pretty cheap.

i use a gravis xterminator and it works flawless....

I use a gravis gamepad pro that I've had for a few years. I settled on it after trying 2 others, including a sidewinder (which I hated).

Just try a few, and if you don't like it, take it back. I don't think any current PC gamepad can hold a candle to most console gamepads. Especially the playstation dual shock.
