Hehe, they made us watch this video at a Lan Party (www.at-lan-tis.com for those of you in RI) I went to yesterday. Quite amusing. Supposedly it's real too.

Nah, I remember when the released this on the LANtrocity site, it was a fake setup by them. Still funny, though I myself wouldn't break someones computer and monitor over cheating in a silly game. :D

I play Counter-Strike a lot, and I gotta say I just don't get the point of cheating. It takes all the fun out of the game. I mean really, is it fun to shoot people through walls with a Para, people who can't even see you and have no chance of defending themselves?
Lol, if I could get my hands on some of those guys, there's no telling what I might do to them.
The average cheater justifies it in his head that "no one is that good" when they get badly owned by someone who's just simply a skilled player ;).
Every one I've run into in UT has had that argument.
"You all cheat, no one is that good".
Well, people who've played 2+ hours a day for a couple of years probably are that good, actually.

That's pretty cool. I often wish CS had some sort of reformat feature that would wipe out cheater's HD's when they get caught. But I'd settle for smashing their comp to little bits.

I get kicked out of servers all the time because they think I cheat. Frustrating as hell. Especailly when some noob is throwing out the accusations simly because you have a decent record.
That's why the voting thing in CS servers was a bad idea from the get go.
If newbs can kick people from servers who are better than they are, it creates a dividing line between skill levels. Then you have no more new players rising out of pubs into competition, and the game will start to die.

Get your own server and run it as you please.
I have eliminated the voting options in my server save for the mission. Don't get mad at someone for doing what they please with their own property. If they boot you and you are clean, smile and know you kicked ass and go on...

What gets me is that most of the time, the same ones that will accuse me of cheating will have blatantly obvious cheaters, guys who get 15 one-shot headshots in a row with the para while jumping around corners, on their team, or get auto-balanced to my team, and not complain one little bit until they switch back and get owned.
We used to run our own server, but nobody ever joined.
