I know there are now 2 Edith Bunkers, and I'm stuck with one. Recently DL got glasses for reading and doing pc work. She called me today, wanting to know what I did to the computer last night. Why do I always get blamed? She commenced saying how the monitor now looks all messed up, how I tweaked something or got a virus, etc. Small tirade, as usual. Confessing nothing, I had the boys look at the monitor - all ok they say. Thinking we're ganging up on her, she then calls the eye doctor and lets him have it for prescribing lousy glasses. He assures her the prescription is correct. Calls me back and says, "You men think I'm crazy". A topic for another time, I gingerly tell myself.

Anyway, I suggest she try cleaning her glasses, that perhaps a smudge is blurring things. She goes to the sink, runs the water, and water runs right through one side, where there should be a lens. That explains the blurry monitor resolution - 1 eye corrected and lens missing in the other. :D (BTW, she found the lens on the carpet).

LOL, Sounds sort of like my afternoon, I come home from work and the wife is busy typing up a report for finals when she tells me that the printer is broke and that I need to fix it right away so she can print her report which is due in the morning. Well, I sit down with a grin on my face (Oh yeah it feels good) and I gently remind her (again) that the printer is attached to my pc and for it to work from her pc, my pc must be turned on also.

a cop buddy of mine once told me (and sometimes I forget): "Never, ever, get involved in a domestic dispute, it is one of fastest ways to end up with a disability pension"
