Icons changed mysteriously

Hi,

Please forgive me if this is stupid but something strange happened on my computer and I'm wanting to know what caused it. I have about 15 files in my documents which all had been saved in notepad. When I checked my files tonight the icon changed from notepad to the icon for ICQ, what the heck is going on here? I didn't do it and was wondering if this is something that happens in windows? I have win98se. Is it possible that someone has been hacking my pc?

Windows 98 was really bad to have icons change or phantom drives with the Wordpad Icon appear. Go to www.google.com and type in "Tweakui" and then download it and install it.

Thanks for the info. I just downloaded and installed the program. Seems like a pretty cool program. I especially like the paranoia section of the program.
