Has anyone seen those IPOD harddrives from Apple (I'm sure you have) they are usually either 4 gig or 10 gig and I think that they are firewire. They need to make those for the PC.

Yea, I don't think there is anything like that for the PC with the exception of USB thumb drives. They plug into the PC and detect as a removable disk drive. We sell them in our store and have them available up to 256Mb, but at that size, they are quite expensive. Most people get the 32Mb version. They work on a Mac too, which makes me wonder, does the IPod work on a PC?

Was in an Apple store and asked the same question. The official answer is no, there is no support for this device in a PC environment

Cool, then that should mean that I can get an Ipod and even though I cant listen
to Mp3's on it (without 3rd party software, or downloading and using transmac first) I should be able to still use
it as just an external harddrive. Would make a great tech tool.
